The diploma in special education is a programme that focuses on providing students with the practical skills and knowledge required to work with and train individuals with special needs, providing basic care and teaching life skills, behaviour moderation techniques and social skills to deal with children with disabilities and special needs.

The primary objective of the program is to prepare and train teachers at the pre-primary and primary levels.

The main objective of this Diploma in Special Education is to train candidates to care for and teach children with special needs or disabilities. The course of the diploma program equips them with the knowledge about various facets of disability, its effect and management.
